Even in today’s world most of us use mail services to send our important documents from one place to another. Although, we have so many options to send our documents like email, apps, messages and much more, but we rely on mail services because we know nothing can replace the mail service.

If we want to send any of our important documents or items, we prefer to mail it, and for this, we choose the mail carrier companies that provide different options to mail any item. The United States Postal Service is one of the mail carriers which delivers mail & packages to almost every single household in the United States. It’s one of the oldest law enforcement agencies and mail carrier in the U.S. It delivers mail items 365 days a year, but it (delivery time) depends on the mail service which you use to send your item.

Many of the people, who use USPS services to send their mail items, want to know doesmail run on Sundays and is mail delivered on Saturday? If you are one of them, then you will get all your answers related to USPS Sunday and Saturday delivery. Let’s find out the answers:

DOES USPS DELIVER ON SATURDAYS?

Yes, USPS delivers on Saturdays. The delivery depends on the mail class or service you choose. Priority Mail Express and Priority Mail items may be delivered to you on Saturdays. The delivery of first-class mail, retail ground (Standard Post), and media mail items is not specified.

USPS SATURDAY DELIVERY:

The United States Postal Service delivers mainly the Priority Mail Express and Priority Mail items on Saturdays. Priority Mail items are delivered within 1-3 business days (not a guarantee). Priority Mail service is starting at $6.65 at Post Office locations and online. As like the Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail service also offers free package pickup service at your home or office. It also includes up to $50 of insurance with most of the shipments.

USPS SATURDAY HOURS:

There is no specific delivery time for USPS packages or any other mail items. The delivery time depends on many factors like the volume of mail, the distance of the warehouse where post offices store your mail items to deliver to your house, weather, etc. There is no difference b/w Saturday and any other day for the letter carriers. They have to deliver the route until all the deliveries are made. No letter carrier leaves his way unfinished voluntarily. If the number of mail items to be delivered is less, then they may reach you early and if they have a large amount of mail, then the USPS delivery hours may be prolonged.

DOES USPS DELIVER ON SUNDAYS?

Yes, USPS delivers on Sundays. But, it delivers only two types of mail items – Priority Mail Express items and Amazon Packages.

USPS SUNDAY DELIVERY:

The United States Postal Service delivers only Priority Mail Express items and Amazon Packages on Sundays. Priority Mail Express is the fastest domestic service with a money-back guarantee. It is available 365 days a year to most U.S. addresses including PO Boxes. Sunday Delivery is not exactly new for this mail carrier because it’s delivering Priority Mail Express items on Sundays for a very long time, but the really new thing is the low cost of this service which makes it the solid option for the consumers. This service is starting at $23.75 at Post Office locations and online. Package pickup service at home or office is also available for free.

Amazon Packages are also shipped by USPS. The online retail giant Amazon signed a deal with the USPS in November 2013 according to which the U.S Postal Service started the delivery of Amazon packages in New York and Los Angeles metropolitan areas. Later, the area was expanded, and 15 more cities were added. Now, the national mail carrier is delivering Amazon packages to most U.S. addresses. Not only on Sundays, but it is also delivering Priority Mail Express items and Amazon Packages on post office holidays. This Sunday delivery is for all Amazon customers. However, if any customer is Amazon Prime account holder, then he/she can order any item as late as Friday and can potentially expect the delivery on Sunday.
