HOW TO GET MAIL AT THE DOORSTEP?

For getting all your mail to be delivered at the door, you have to write a letter to the Postal Service. In that hardship mail delivery letter, you have to write the reason that why you are requesting for Door delivery and want to change the existing delivery point. Along with the letter, you have to attach the statement from the doctor, and that statement should indicate you are unable to collect the mail from the centralized mailbox. Send both, the letter and the doctor’s statement to the post office that delivers your mail. They will decide whether or not you will get the approval for door delivery. If you get approval, all your mail will be delivered to you at the door.

Request letters should be addressed to:

  1. I have applied, submitted doctor info, and was accepted for Hardship Delivery due to my disabilities, but my local Post Office refuses to do actual deliveries, I have to file a claim each and every time because their carriers are not doing hardship deliveries. If you won’t provide the service, then why are you telling people about it?

    • Are You able to leave your domicile without needing assistance? Are You able to drive? Do You have anyone living with you? If you can answer “Yes” to any of these questions then you do not qualify for a hardship.

      • Ellie, you didn’t fully read and comprehend Deborah’s message. She clearly stated that she has already been accepted into the hardship program. If she has been accepted into to the program, she should receive the services of the program. You are going on about whether or not she can be accepted into the hardship program, which is not relevant to her comment and question.

      • I am disabled and have to have assistance going anywhere and I have a caregiver but I still qualify because having a caregiver doesn’t disqualify
